5 Tips To Declutter & Make Time To Improve Your Health And Well-Being


Do you tell yourself you'll start exercising from Monday? Or you'll plan to make time for your friends this weekend?

If you’re like me; trying to juggle business, leisure, family and friends can be quite a struggle. If only you had more of that precious asset called 'time', you might actually come round to declutter and work on your health and wellbeing.


Consider my 5 tips below to declutter and make more time for a healthier lifestyle.


1. Start In The Kitchen

Get to work on the kitchen! This is the Holy Grail when leading a healthier lifestyle. If you’ve got food stocked in the cupboards for more than a few months then it’s probably not doing your health any favours.Remember, to live a healthier lifestyle what you put in your mouth effects the way you think and look. Any stocked food really means you have processed food with a long shelf life. Get rid of those and buy fresh foods ready to be refrigerated that will feed you long lasting healthier results.


2. Devise A Strategy

So many of us fall into the trap of ‘I want to lose weight’, ‘I want to start a business to become financially free’, ‘I want to free up more time to spend with the kids’.

I categorise these as surface goals that haven’t really had much thought, and need to be more specific. The thing I know is health and fitness and what it takes to achieve a desired outcome. The same strategies apply when it comes to business or freeing up time with the kids. You’ve got to set the specific target, create a plan and be consistent. Seek help if you need to, chances are you’ll speed up the process by avoiding any time and money wasted, improving your overall health.


3. Catch Up With Friends

Do you have friends you haven’t spoken to in a while, but once you make contact it’s like nothing changed? Great, the next time you have a couple of minutes give them a call toarrange a meet up.


Spending more time with friends can really be a fresh of breath air. Think about it, besides family who do you put your trust in?That’s right our closest friends are like family. So, It’s important to keep in regular contact with those people who can help declutter and bring joy to your life.


4. Gut Feeling

You probably don’t even know what it is yet, but you have a gut feeling something isn’t right. It may be a business decision/ opportunity or someone in your inner circle of friends and family. After giving some real thought and evaluation, if it’s not meant to be, don’t waste another minute of your time and energy.Declutter what ever that thing is and you’ll makemore time for the more important things, like your health.


5. Play

When’s the last time you played? I’m talking about bringing that inner child out of you, you know the one you once were. For me playing is doing the things I love doing. Get out old traditional board games like monopoly (this usually ended in warfare with the family), play a sport, or take part in a new activity. Revisit some of these happy nostalgic places and just have fun. Playing can take your mind off some of the stressors and can be a great way to trigger happy chemicals in the brain. Doing so may even help with getting creative, break bad habits, increase productivity and positively improve your health and well-being.
